Caged Femininity

Corsetry Studio

In the shadow of the Iron Sword War and the tragic events of October 7th, I sought to depict strength and self-expression amidst the harshness of war and the omnipresent olive green. Inspired by the exceptional bravery of heroic women—those on border patrol, in battle, and working behind the scenes—I explored the contrasts between hard and soft, feminine and masculine, freedom and confinement, and shared my own military experiences. The photoshoot for the Jerusalem Post brought new depth to this look. At the Tower of David, Noam Ben David modeled the outfit while sharing her personal story. Her boyfriend David was murdered at the NOVA festival, and she herself was shot. She spoke of David as a beacon of light and joy, and how his memory remains with her on her path to recovery. Noam's remarkable strength, joy, and vulnerability are profoundly inspiring. I feel honored and humbled to have met and worked with such an incredible Jewish hero!
